"No Lame Names" and "Kissing Toads" at April Workshop

Workshops offer in-depth discussion of key topics for
branding new products, services and companies

Fort Collins, Colorado - "Creative and high-tech people with great ideas for new products and services know a lot about the work they're doing," said Kevin Houchin, founder of Houchin & Associates. "But they don't always know the best way to present those ideas to consumers, or to other specific target audiences."

To address this issue, Houchin & Associates, a Fort Collins-based firm offering both marketing and legal services for product and business launches, will present a two-part workshop at the Fort Collins Chamber on April 24. The workshop will be based on two e-books Houchin has written, entitled "No Lame Names" and "Kissing Toads: Marketing Your Left-Brain Products to Right-Brain People" - which cover legal and creative topics related to selecting an emotive, unique name for one's business, and how to portray a professional, consumer-oriented image when presenting and marketing products and services.

"We want to help get new projects off to a fast start," said Houchin. "Our goal is to show people the path to thinking objectively about the work they're doing, and about how others will view them in the marketplace. In this day and age, image is extremely important. So having an appropriate, strong trademark for your business, and projecting an appropriate image will give business owners a great head start as they launch their new project."

The workshop will be presented in two sessions. "No Lame Names" will run from 9 AM to noon, and "Kissing Toads" will run from 1 PM to 3 PM. The cost is $145 for either the morning or afternoon session, or $195 for both. A box lunch is included for those attending both sessions.
